EASLEY—Kimberly Hampton will be honored this Friday with the 8th annual Kimberly Hampton Memorial Blood Drive.

Captain Kimberly Hampton was killed in Iraq in 2004, and was a lifetime resident of Easley and 1994 graduate of Easley High School.

The Blood Drive was founded by her parents, Dale and Ann Hampton and was started with the Blood Connection in Greenville.

“A lot of people would ask us what they could do to help, so we started a blood Drive in her memory, said Kimberly’s mother,” Ann Hampton.

The drive will take place this Friday in a variety of places in the upstate.

“I hope that we will raise awareness for our fallen soldiers and that we honor not only Kimberly, but all of our fallen soldiers, and in doing so, we are helping people just as they were,” said Hampton.
