Police seek Easley murder suspect

EASLEY — The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office is seeking a suspect they believed was involved in a homicide at a local church over the weekend.

Police are seeking Tavish Dominick Yeargin in connection with the death of Sean Timothy Dinneen Saturday.

On Saturday, deputies responded to a call about a possible shooting in the parking lot of Crosswell Baptist Church on S. Fishtrap Road.

Upon arrival, the responding deputy found a white male lying face down in the parking lot of Crosswell Baptist Church, according to a Pickens County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Approaching the victim, the deputy noted the man was unresponsive and appeared not to be breathing.

There was a large amount of blood around his face, the report said.

No other subjects were in the immediate area, the report said.

The victim was identified as Dinneen, 49, of 204 Addington Drive, Easley.

A witness told police he heard an argument outside his residence on South Fishtrap Road.

The witness said that he saw a dark colored Mustang and a four-door vehicle were in the parking lot when he heard the argument.

Shortly thereafter, the witness heard the sounds of glass breaking and then one or two gunshots.

After seeing the vehicles leave the parking lot, and spotting an unknown person lying unresponsive in the lot, the witness called 911.

Investigators announced Wednesday that a suspect in the case had been identified

As a result of their investigation, a murder warrant has been issuedYeargin, who is described as a 25-year-old black male His address is listed as 100 Shemwood Lane, Apartment 15C, Greenville.

He was last seen driving a 1998 Blue Ford Mustang, tag number CQH-627.

Anyone knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office at 898-5500 or CRIMESPOPPERS at 898-KOPS (5677).

Sheriff C. David Stone said, “These officers have done as outstanding job, working tirelessly through some exceptionally long hours to solve this case. I am proud of them and their outstanding professionalism demonstrated in this case.”

Investigators said more arrests are expected in this case.
