Easley High Class of 1959 donates to EHS band

EASLEY – The Easley High School Band received a monetary donation from the Easley High School Class of 1959 on Aug. 29.The Easley High School Band Program has received the S.C. Band Directors Association Outstanding Performance Award nine times since 2002. The Easley High School Marching Band was the 2013 Chesnee Eagle Classic Grand Champions.They also placed fifth at the 2013 4A SCBDA Upperstate Championships and completed their 2013 season as one of the top 10 4A marching bands at state championships.

Slow start leads to big win for Daniel

CENTRAL — The fourth ranked Daniel Lions hosted a Westside Rams team coming into the game in Central undefeated as well and eventually wore down the upstart Anderson team 24-9.The Daniel defense had two takeaways in the opening quarter to stop drives by the Rams’ offense which seemed unstoppable at the time.
