PICKENS—The Market Fair that was scheduled for this Saturday August, 4 at Pickens High School has been cancelled.
A story in this week’s papers indicated that the Fair would take place from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. this weekend, but event organizers say they had to cancel plans.
The event was set to benefit Pickens County Meals on Wheels, and would have featured a large yard sale and festivities for customers.
The cancellation did not occur until after press run.
