Supporting the community

R.A. Gibson, retired S.C. Highway Patrol Trooper, donates $1,000 to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Greenville on behalf of the Pickens County Fraternal Order of Police. The money was raised from a variety of efforts throughout the year, Gibson, the FOP treasurer said. The 40-member organization meets the third Thursday of every month at Silver Bay in Easley and is open to retired or active law enforcement officers in good standing. For more information on the FOP, call Gibson at 864-878-6662.
