PICKENS — Dr. Daniel Dahlhausen, a Pickens physician, was named 2012 Physician of the Year by the South Carolina Home Care and Hospice Association at its recent awards dinner.
The Association is comprised of leading home health and hospice providers in South Carolina. The award recognizes the physician’s commitment to assisting home health and hospice patients who wish to remain in their homes.
Interim HealthCare of the Upstate nominated Dr. Dahlhausen for this award based on years of partnering with Dr. Dahlhausen in the home care of his patients. This award recognizes Dr. Dahlhausen’s commitment to patient care and service, including care that keeps patients safe and independent at home when faced with diseases, other disabilities or end of life care. According to the nomination which led to his award, Dr. Dahlhausen consistently goes above and beyond in care planning, care management and collaboration and provides outstanding consultative services and advocates effectively for his patients. His passion for his patients and their care extends to making home visits for those patients with limited mobility, or arranging transportation to the office.
Dr. Dahlhausen is Board Certified in Family Practice and serves patients at Cannon Family Practice in Pickens. Interim HealthCare of the Upstate serves the home care and hospice needs of patients throughout the Upstate.
