Johns, Hutto marry

Lauren Ashley Johns and Joshua Wayne Hutto were united in marriage on Saturday, January 12, 2013, at Edwards Road Baptist Church at 6:00 in the evening.

The Reverend Aaron Rayburn officiated the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. John Edwin Johns, junior, of Greer and the late Mr. Johns. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. William Leo Shealy and the late Mr. Shealy of Powdersville, and Mrs. John Edwin Johns and the late Dr. Johns of Greenville. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina Upstate with a degree in Business Administration.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Donald Lee Hutto of Easley and the late Mr. Hutto. He is the grandson of the late Mr. Clarence Estus Revis and the late Mrs. Theo Faye Atkins Revis of Easley, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mallory Ivin Hutto of Greenville. He is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University with a degree in Sports Management and Recreation and Leisure.

The bride wore a fit and flare gown featuring softly sequined lace allover, a sweetheart neckline, and a scalloped edge chapel length train. The bodice featured pleated Valencia organza accented with Swarovski crystals and pearls. To compliment her ensemble, the bride wore a Swarovski crystal and pearl edge veil and tiara.

Mr. Mark Hagenbach, friend of her late father, escorted the bride. Miss Kasey Padgett served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Kortney Abercrombie, Miss Lara Backman, Miss Leah Carver, Miss Leslie Graves, Miss Jennifer Knowles, Miss Leigh Ann Shelley, Miss Kellie Shropshire, and Miss Emmalyn Sorrells.

Andrew Finley served as the groom’s best man. The groomsmen were Mr. Jake Hawkins, Mr. Evan Johns, Mr. William Johns, Mr. Jarett Miller, Mr. Davis Simpson, Mr. Caleb Smith, and Mr. Gilyen Vaughn.

The guestbook attendants were Miss Chandler Carver and Miss Morgan Padgett. The program attendant was the groom’s niece, Miss Abigail Hutto. Mr. Charlie Miller, pianist, and the soloist, Mr. Carroll Carver, provided music.

The reception was held at Thornblade Club in Greer. After a honeymoon to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Taylors.
