SENECA – The World of Energy will host a free Spring Celebration from 10 a.m. to noon April 8 at the education center, 7812 Rochester Highway.

The celebration will feature a petting zoo, bounce house and slide, face-painters, a juggling and variety artist, and balloon twister. The event is being held in tandem with the World of Energy’s Festival of Eggs decorating contest.

The competition includes 22 decorating teams for nonprofits in the Upstate, each decorating a plastic 16-inch egg with their own details.

Eggs are on display now at the World of Energy, continuing through April 14.

“We are excited about adding an egg hunt and spring celebration to our event roster,” said World of Energy Manager Chris Rimel. “We’ve packed a lot into two hours. And we think folks will be amazed by the artistry of the decorated eggs.”

A spring-themed background photography spot will also be available for parents to take photos of their children.

The World of Energy will be open during the Spring Celebration for visitors to vote on their favorite egg. The top three vote-getters will receive grants from Duke Energy.
