EASLEY — Easley resident Tiffany A. Flowers, instructor of Education at Georgia Perimeter College, received the NCTE Early Career Educator of Color Leadership Award from the National Council for the Teachers of English.

The award will be presented at a conference being held Nov. 20 through Nov. 23 in Washington, D.C.

The purpose of the Early Career Educator of Color Leadership Award is to provide early career educators of color a national forum for professional collaboration and development.

“In light of colleges and universities’ current emphasis on preparing students to enter the teaching profession and workforce, I am honored to receive this award,” said Flowers.
