Art, jazz, wine, and hors d’ouevres…. What more could you need to make an evening complete? Join the Best Gallery in the Upstate, The Starving Artist Café and the Arts Council of Pickens County, as they host the 1st Annual “Jazzy Art Soiree” on Nov. 23.

Local artists from across the Upstate will convene at The Starving Artist for an evening of wine, food, and of course their art! Painters, stained glass artists, jewelers, and sculptors will display their works and be available for conversations about their art. Learn more about how or why a specific piece was created. Purchase some amazing gifts for people on your Christmas list.

One Hope Winery will be on site as well providing wine tastings. One Hope wines donates a portion of all wine sold to a specific charity or cause depending upon the wine purchased. One Hope wines will also be available for purchase and make excellent Christmas gifts.

Jean Calvert Jazz Trio will be playing at The Starving Artist Café during the evening’s event. Musically, this ensemble is a “get out of your seat, toe tapping treat” for your listening pleasure.

Vicki Ciplickas, owner of Starving Artist and Vice-President of Arts Council of Pickens County, says “It is our hope to provide an evening of great entertainment, culture, food, and some early Holiday shopping!”

“Jazzy Art Soiree” will provide a unique evening for your enjoyment. Come on down to The Starving Artist Café on November 23, 2013 between 5-9 pm and sip some wine, listen to jazz, view a little art and gain some insight into the world of art!
