ANDERSON – A Central man has been charged with grand larceny in the theft of more than $5,300 in pool and outdoor furniture from a home in Easley.

According to warrants, Wayne Thomas Ellenburg, 36, of 435 Pea Ridge Road, took 20 pieces of pool and outdoor furniture from a home on Bennington Court around June 21.

The homeowner was out of town when the theft occurred. Tire tracks were found behind the pool the day after the incident.

A witness reported seeing Ellenburg casing the residence prior to the theft and he was seen unloading the furniture at his home.

He was arrested by investigators with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.

Ellenburg is being held at the Anderson County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
