PENDLETON — Tri-County Technical College’s 2015 Veterinary Technology graduates asked their “number-one fan and mentor since day one,” former instructor Christee Williams, to deliver the address at their annual pinning ceremony held May 8.
Williams was the college’s outstanding Veterinary Technology senior in 1982 and went on to work at Clemson University as a research specialist in the Poultry Science Department. In 1989 she joined her alma mater as an instructor in the Veterinary Technology program.
In 1995 she received the first-ever Technician of the Year award from the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians. In 2012, Williams was honored with the highest award presented to the faculty, the Presidential Medallion for Instructional Excellence, at the College’s annual commencement.
Following Williams’s remarks, Ashley Brady, department head for Veterinary Technology, presented pins to the following students:
