Sept. 26

Ride to the Rock, featuring 40k, 60k and 100k rides, begin at 8 a.m. at the Pickens Recreation Center. The event is presented by the Pickens Rotary Club with proceeds benefiting the Doodle Trail. Walking tours of historic churches and churchyards in downtown Pendleton are held at 10 a.m. Sept. 11 and Sept. 12, beginning at the Old Stone Church on S.C. 76 between Clemson and Pendleton. The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office hosts its fifth Coffee with a Cop at 8 a.m. Sept. 10 at Seneca Family Restaurant on S.C. 123 Bypass in Seneca. Members of the community are encouraged to come spend time with members of the OCSO and discuss community issues.

The 11th annual S.C. Apple Festival Car Show is held Sept. 12 in Westminister beside Hardee’s on East Main Street. Registration is from 9 a.m. to noon.
