CENTRAL – More than 80 years of yearbooks from Southern Wesleyan University are now available for viewing online, thanks to a partnership between Rickman Library and the S.C. Digital Library, with assistance from Clemson University.

SWU’s yearbook collection goes back to 1930. Early on, the yearbook was titled “WE-ME-CO,” short for “Wesleyan Methodist College.” From the early 1930s until 2006, the yearbook was known as “Centralian.” From 2007-2012 (its final year) it was published as “Cornerstone.”

To view the collection, go to swu.edu/library, then select the “Digital Collection” link at the bottom right corner of the page.

The South Carolina Digital Library provides free access to historic materials, such as photographs, manuscripts, journals, books, oral histories, objects, etc. illustrating the history and culture of South Carolina from over 40 cultural heritage institutions across the state. More than 200,000 items have been added so far. Their web address is scmemory.org.
