CLEMSON – Gray Lee of Clemson was named Clemson University’s 2015 Homecoming Queen.

Lee is a junior communication studies and women’s leadership major. In the pageant, she represented Kappa Delta as the sorority’s vice president of public relations. She also serves as a Clemson University tour guide; orientation ambassador; College of Arts, Architecture and Humanities ambassador; and is involved with Tiger Pride, Order of Omega and the IPTAY Student Advisory Board.

A Dean’s List student, she currently works as an intern for the academic liaison department of Clemson Recreation and volunteers with ClemsonLIFE, Helping Hands and The Parenting Place.

Contestants in the pageant are scored on the basis of poise, personality, appearance, involvement at Clemson and interview performance. The student body then votes on the Homecoming court from the pageant’s top 10 finalists.

“I have grown up coming to Clemson games and have watched many Homecoming games from the stands, but I never thought I would be the one riding the float,” said Lee, who was introduced at halftime of the Homecoming game against Boston College. “I was thrilled to represent Kappa Delta for Homecoming and was so honored when my Clemson family chose me to represent them as their 2015 Homecoming Queen.”

Emily Blackshire, a senior language and international health major from Hilton Head, was the first runner up. The second, third, and fourth runners up, respectively, were Karley English, senior elementary education major from Dallas, Texas; Ellery Swain, senior nursing major from Raleigh, North Carolina; and Anna Brown, junior visual arts major from Greer.
