PICKENS — Gibbs Realty and Auction Co. hosted a Home Buyer’s Seminar on first time home ownership, giving some ins and outs of home buying and preparation to those in attendance, leaving them with sound advice for today’s market.
“The education and preparation for home ownership is as exciting for real estate agents as it is home buyers,” Broker in Charge Darrell Gibbs said. “Assisting in the step by step process and providing quality resources to make informed decisions on purchasing real estate is a job that presents a challenge in this ever evolving industry.”
On hand to assist in providing information to prospective home buyers were attorney Dan Hoy of Brad Richardson Attorneys, and mortgage consultant John Atkins of Prospect Mortgage Services.
Hoy and Atkins provided valuable information regarding the complexities of closing on a home purchase and shopping for a mortgage rate with the best interest.
According to Gibbs, navigating the industry for those uninitiated can be a frightening and complex process.
On the slate for future Home Buyer’s Seminars is How to Rebuild Your Credit. The date will be announced.
