EASLEY — Elizabeth Barrett and Devon Lloyd were united in marriage in a double-ring ceremony on August 2, 2014, at Easley First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Baumgarner officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ben and Trish Barrett of Easley. She graduated from Easley High School, USC-Upstate Spartanburg and received her Master of Education from Lesley University. She is currently employed with Anderson School District 5 as a first grade teacher at McLee’s Academy of Leadership.
The groom is the son of Peter and Wendy Lloyd of Easley. He graduated from Easley High School and Greenville Tech. He is currently employed at Mungo Homes as an Assistant Project Manager.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents Ben and Trish Barrett.
She wore an allover beaded lace trumpet gown with empire waist, cap sleeves and a chapel train accented with an ivory antique veil trimmed in scalloped lace. She carried a hand wrapped bouquet consisting of white hydrangeas and white wax seeded eucalyptus.
The bride’s mother wore a sleeveless knee-length black dress with chiffon tulip tiers accented with silver barrel pins at the shoulders and a shawl of black lace accented with silver thread.
The bridegroom’s mother wore an iridescent mulberry asymmetrical dress accented with a cranberry and charcoal scarf. Both carried a bouquet of white Gerber daises.
Alisha Barrett Martin of Anderson and Courtney Barrett Vaughan of Easley, both sisters of the bride, served as matrons of honor.
Bridesmaids were Adrienne Crowe of Easley, sister-in-law of bride; Ryvers Martin of Anderson, niece of the bride; Tara Green of Spartanburg, and Mary Howland and Michelle Vazquez of Boiling Springs, all friends of the bride.
Honor attendants wore black knee-length satin dresses with empire waistline and each attendant wore a different color of heels and carried a bouquet of Gerber daisies to match each attendant’s color of heels.
Joshua Lloyd of Greenville, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Crowe, the groom’s brother-in-law, and Peter Lloyd, father of the groom, and Rutledge Vaughan, the bride’s brother-in-law, all of Easley; Ridge Martin of Anderson, nephew of bride; and Alexander Vazquez of Boiling Springs.
Flower girls were Anna Leah Crowe and Layla Crowe of Easley, nieces of the groom, and Bramble Martin and Birch Martin of Anderson, nieces of the bride. Each flower girl wore an ivory satin dress featuring a sleeveless bodice and tulle skirt and carried ivory satin baskets with ivory rose petals.
Ring bearers were Lochlan Vaughan of Easley, bride’s nephew, and Joshua Lloyd of Greenville, brother of the groom.
Wedding music was performed by Rick Roe, organist/pianist, and Elliott Hunter, soloist.
Church decorations consisted of white Gerber daisies with white stock and mixed greenery accented with ivory bows and hydrangeas.
Guest register was kept by Holly Campbell of Easley. Greeter was Melissa Enlow of Cumming, Ga.
The reception was held at Smithfield’s Country Club.
The two tier almond wedding cake was filled with white chocolate and covered with white chocolate fondant. Assorted cupcakes were also served.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple will reside in Easley.
